White background, where you do not see the grid cells

    Morning all,

I am currently having issues with Excel 2003.

What I have done is created a report in MYOB which then allows you to export it to Excel. When I do this, all the report gets exported, however, it pastes the imaged over the cell grid, so I see the data and a white background.

I then go to Options and ticked the option to show the grids. This then allows the grid cells to appear, however the data that I have imported, the background is still white. Does anyone know how to get rid of this white background so that the data appears in the cells?

The reason why I want to get rid of this white background is for some reason it doesn't allow me to create formulas based on the cells that are white.

    I hope I make sense :S

Format > Cells > Pattern, click No Color
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
