I am stumped by what I thought would be a simple task. I want to highlight the highest and lowest of figures in a column using conditional formatting. There are 3 columns: A=Name, B=Perfect, C=Actual; wherein "Name" is one of 12 people, "Perfect" is their best possible performance and "Actual" is how they actually did. In CF, I entered a DMAX & DMIN formula I thought would highlight the top/bottom figure in each coulmn...not working! In column B-"Perfect", it looks like this:
Condition 1
Formula is=DMAX(A1:C13,B1,B2:B13)
Condition 2
Formula is=DMIN(...),
and then repeat for column C-"Actual" =(...,C1, C2:C13).
Either the cells ALL turn whatever color I enter as Condition 1 OR they aren't turning any color at all OR the top entry (B2, C2) ALWAYS turns Condition 1 regardless of rank, depending on minor changes in the formula.
Someone please help!
