Help! How can I remove the date from a timestamp?

    Hi All,

I was wondering if it is possible to remove the date from a timestamp. I have a worksheet with thousands of rows, and don't want to manually do it.

The date currently shows like this: 04/20/09 7:30:00 AM

I just want the 7:30:00 AM portion. I can reformat the cells to show only the time, but the value still have the date.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

    Thank you

    One way without formulas...

Convert your column to General so you have decimal values,

then select the column and go to Edit|Replace

    and replace

*. (that's an asterisk and period)

    with

    . (that's a period)

    click Replace All.

    Then reformat to Time.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
