I've had this problem with several spreadsheets and have read the data on hiding/viewing objects but the solutions don't help. It seems to me that Excel restricts the number of columns I can hide - would this be right? I am using Excel 2000 and this is one of the sheets I'm using. I want to hide all columns to the right of Column "O".
I have 2000 at home and will check tonight but I do not remember there being a limit on how many columns you can hide.
Try this:
First select P onward, right click and DELETE
Then try to hide those columns.

substitute commas with semi-colons if your region settings requires

Thanks. That sort of worked but now I get the same error if I try to alter column width of shown columns! Any ideas?
Never ran across that one. Are your hidden column widths extremely wide?
