adjust one cells values depending on anothers

Hello folks,

I'm an excel beginner and need to adjust one cell based on anthers values. In my case it will simply be a 1 to 1 ratio, that is to say as one cell decreases in value another increases by the same amount.

This means that the cells will always add up to the same amount. So try =10-A1, where 10 is the total of the cells (change as necessary of course) and A1 has the number you're changing.
