dynamic data updates chart with 5 minute delay

Hello,

I have an excel 2007 spreadsheet model that automatically retrieves data every 10 seconds from a database provider. I recently noticed that the data was updated on the sheet that collects that data, but was not updating the chart for 5 approximately minutes. Time is critical for me and I need the data to update the chart instantly. Is there something I can do to improve this performance.

On a related topic, is there a way to have the chart indicate changes in values; e.g., if value 1 is 10 and value 2 is 15, through a tone?

Hello Group,

Maybe a better way to pose this problem is not related to time but to rows. The graph updates all but the last one or two rows. So, as data populates one sheet, and the the graph is based upon an IF statement; i.e., if cell is not zero, use the cell, the graph updates but leaves off the new data - one or two cells.
