Hi, I am looking for a way to total the amount of cells in a column/range that contain red text. Is this possible please?

Why is the text red? Is it a conditional format? What are the conditions that the text would be red? If the color is red because of some sort of logic, then you just need to use that logic in your countif or sumif formula.

As far as I know there isn't a way, through cell formulas, to test font color. You would need VBA.

See these two sites. They seem to show a way to do what you ask through VBA

But maybe there is a way to do it without VBA. What is causing these cells to be in red? There must be some sort of condition, even if a human is doing the changing. Are the values greater or less than a certain number? Are they certain names or follow a name scheme? Are they before a certain date? Are they red because another cell holds a certain value?

All of these can be tested, and therfore used in a formula.
