    Help required on exact meaning of this formula

    =IF(G25<>"",G25*B25,"")

    What does the "" exactly mean please

    Im very new to excel & know this might be an easy question but I would dearly need help

    "" means a zero-length string

    =IF(G25<>"" means test if G25 is blank (or has a formula that returns a zero-length string)
