    Excel processing speed

    Hi there,

    I currently have a Duo Core 2 1.66GHz with 3 gigs of RAM.

    Excel can however be very slow as I have I have a lot calculations going in my spreadsheet. (It displays Calculating: (2 processors): X%)

    My question is that if I upgrade to a new laptop with faster processor - will this help the calculations in Excel?

    Chances are you would be better leveraged by reducing the computational complexity of the existing workbook.
