Solved my own problem. Had to trick Excel
In L2
=SUBSTITUTE(ADDRESS(1, ROW(L27), 4), "1", "")
Since L27 is where the formula above starts AA, I just told it to start at L27, worked great.
I'm just going to add in the IF "I" = "" then "" statement and I'm done.
Thank you for posting your solution, it will invariably help others looking for similar going forward.
On an aside note if you have XL2003 you can only use that formula 230 times (ie up to and including IV).
