    Exclamation Chart a 3d range?

How do I chart series with a 3d range ie Sheet1:sheet3!$E$5

I know that this is simple in Lotus123 but I am unable to do the same with excel2007

You specify a single point (cell). what are the ranges (series) so far and what would you like to add?
Looking for great solutions but hate waiting?

Don't think charts can handle 3d references.
You would need to construct a range of chartable data on a single sheet.

    To rwgrietveld

"You specify a single point (cell). what are the ranges (series) so far and what would you like to add? "

The range is from sheet1 to Sheet3 at Cell E5
I have doing 3D Range References charts in Lotus123 for years and I feel that I should be able to the same in Excel 2007

you can trust Andy's judgement. He would know if it were possible!

@Riccardo: the 3d range reference threw me for a while in another thread as well. You don't see it often, but Sheet1:Sheet10!A1 is actually a range of 10 cells!

Angry Re: Chart a 3d range?

Ok I trust your judgement about creating a chart using a 3D range in Excel 2007. But I am more then a little disappointment as I had hope that Excel 2007 would be a true 3D spreadsheet.

I have been developing creating charts in Lotus 123 (which is no longer supportedby either Lotus or IBM) for years but have been forced to move to Excel 2007 I had hope that Excel would have developed this feature by now.
