    Find and match query

    Hi guys,

I've got a sheet here with a master list of document numbers in Column A and a smaller subset in column C.
What i need to do is for Excel to scan column A for cell C1 and when it finds it in column A i need it to return the corresponding value in B column into cell D1. I need to do this for all column C.

    hope i've made this clear!

    Re: Find and match query

    Try

    =VLOOKUP(C2,A:B,2,0)

    copied down

    #N/A means not found
