    VLOOKUP with INDIRECT Reference

Hello, I am trying to use VLOOKUP and INDIRECT to display some General Text from another Sheet into the Cell. The below formula has worked for me fine where I am asking Excel to pull in numerical data, however it is not working for general text.

How can I import a text from Column Index Number 12 which says for example "General text here"?

    Thanks,
    Tom

If you changed both 16's to 12 then it should work regardless of text or number entries...

Have you changed both 16's to 12?

Sorry I am being an idiot - It needs to be Column Index Number 16. All I am returning is a blank cell based on the error

    Re: VLOOKUP with INDIRECT Reference

If I put a number in column index number 16, I get the value returned. However if I put text in there, I get #REF!

$A$6:$O$20 is 15 columns wide... you need to expand to:

    $A$6:$P$20 to get 16th column
