Adding Text [Formatting?] After Formula Result?

I am working on a project and I'm bringing in data from one sheet to another. Unfortunately the data doesn't completely match the data I'm trying to import.

For example... I'm trying to bring in information into the table by using a reference back to another sheet [='Grade Sheet'!A2] but the data is missing a few characters on the end when I import it.

I would have to change a whole lot to change the data I'm importing so I'm wondering if there is an easy way to format this data I'm bringing in? Or can I add something to the forumla to add "text" on the end?

I need to add "2009" to a course description.
The picture below indicates my situation. The data I need to change is indicated by the "target" I added.
