Hey Guys- I'm not sure if this is even possible but I need some help. I have attached a file below similar to a gantt chart. I need help with the conditional formatting, as I have manually changed the colors to match what I need automated.
Basically I have 6 tasks and I need to change dates for individual projects but I also need the corresponding color to also change.
The file is fairly basic and hopefully someone can help me out.

with Excel 2003 you can only achieve four different formats conditionally, i.e. the standard format plus three conditional ones. Everything beyond that would require VBA, unless you see a chance to upgrade to XL 2007 any time soon.
There are lots of threads about VBA for more than three conditional formats here. Quickest way is probably to do a Google with a "site:excelforum.com" as a parameter.

Solved, thanks for the help. I found another work around.

It wasn't very complicated. I just listed all the task in separate rows and used the same color for all tasks. The task are differentiated by the row stagger instead of a color.
