    Create report to show totals for vendors per month

    I have a rather large file that contains a purchase order history of many vendors. What I'm looking to do is run a report somehow that will sum up a monthly total for each vendor.

    I'd like to report to show:

    Month - Vendor - Total Cost

    I've attached an example spreadsheet that should help explain if any questions.

    Use a Pivot Table - highlight B1:D13 and use that as source.

    ROW Fields: Date, Vendor
    DATA Field: Cost (set to SUM)

    Right click on Date in the Pivot and opt to Group by Months & Years.

    Thank you - that helped. Is it possible to have the months at the top, and the vendors on the left, with total costs on the right?

    For example:
    June July August September
    ABC $100 $200 $300 $400
    DEF $500 $600 $700 $800
    GHI $900 $1000 $1100 $1200

    I didn't quite find any information to help me create the table I'm trying to make.
