I'm working with Excel 2003 and hope someone can get me started. I want to arrange team fixtures. For example if there are 6 teams; A, B, C, D, E, F, who have to play each other home and away. What is the best way to approach it?

Doing it by hand is easy. Found this for you http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~quizbowl/schedules.html

... and my interpretation
You're right manually is fine. Thanks for your work in producing the template. Is it possible to see together one week's fixtures?
The difficulty is that MATCH, INDEX, etc work with a one-dimensional range. I would have liked one weeks fixtures as well.
here an option

That's clearer to read, thank you. I don't want to take up too much of your valuable time but I do want to understand the process so that I can apply it to my own outdoor bowling league which has 10 teams and a start date which will change each year.
In fixture(2) you refer to sheet 1 Row A1: B30. Is that in the previous fixture?
How do I add or subtract teams, assuming even numbers?
Many thanks for your help.
