I have made a calendar for the month with each day in a different cell, using 7 columns of cells for days of the week and 5 rows for weeks of the month... simple. The first column is Sunday, etc. Lets say that represents January.
In another tab I have a range of cells that I want to put dates on.
Can I use conditional formatting to highlight each cell if its corresponding date exists in that list of dates?
I was thinking of applying conditional formatting to the whole month.
I was thinking about extracting the month and day out of each date and putting them next to the date. Then test if the month = 1, and then if the day matches the corresponding cell in the calendar, highlight it.
Can all that be done with conditional formatting? And if it can, what would the formula look like? I cant seem to come up with something that works.
I am attaching a sample spreadsheet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
