Unhappy Excel macro enabled workbook is not working on Vista m/c

    Hi,

I have created one excel macro enabled sheet which has one ActiveX controls (command Button), upon clicking this, a form should appear.

This functionality is working on my system which is windows XP m/c.
But user m/c is windows Vista and there functionality is not working. The command Button itself became inactive.

What could be the possible reasons?
I checked the Tools->references tab and added the necessary dlls also.

    Thanks in advance,
    Venkat.

When I try to create Active X control in Vista m/c, it is not allowing me to do so. In Excel Options, all the macro's and Active X options are disbaled.

What could be the problem? Please help me out.

    Thanks in advance,
    Venkat.

It sounds as though VBA is not installed on that machine to me. Rerun the Office setup and make sure to install VBA.

    Hi romperstomper,

I don't have rights to reinstall the MS Office, If I am sure about that prb then I can ask the respective team to reinstall.

I found another observation that, there is another .xls sheet which is developed by other person a long back in 2003 version is working on client m/c without any problem. It has 3 ActiveX controls(button) and they are pulling the data from a database itself.

But mine is a simple active X control(button) which shows a simple form, and it copies and pastes the data from one sheet to another sheet once user enters the worksheets(Source & Destination) in that form and click submit.

I didn't understand what was wrong with my macro enabled sheet.

    Plz guide me.

    Thanks in advance,
    Venkat.

In that case it may simply be that they have locked down the security settings (presumably via Group Policy) so that the Trust Center options cannot be changed by the user.

    Thanks romperstomper.
I also expected the same problem and I checked the macro security settings, but the settings are same.

As you said may be their company's group policy would have stoped my company's signature's Excel sheet. I will work out in this way for this problem.

Thanks a lot for your valuable suggesions.

    Thanks in advance,
    Venkat.
