Quick question, I know how to change a cells background / text color based on it's own value using conditional formatting but what would be the formula to change cell A1's background color based on the value of cell C1?
Thanks Guys,
Steve

Hi,
use conditional format with Formula Is on A1 and use the formula
=C1="whatever"
Im trying it but it's not working. There is no change at all.
Here is a helpful link to explain CF in a bit more detail.

Wow. That was pretty easy now that I seen it. I had been doing it the right way without the absolute reference and thats why it wasnt working. Once I put it in it worked just fine.
Thank again guys,
