Years ago I created this worksheet and made the note that I could effectively make gridlines disappear by using a 'fill of clear'. Try as I might, I can't find a way to reverse that. Can anybody else ?

If you are still using Excel 2003, a more effective way of not showing the gridlines would be to clikc Tools --> options then uncheck Gridlines at the bottom of the View tab.
In Excel 2007 click on the View Ribbon then uncheck Gridlines in the Show/Hide section.
