"Excel cannot complete this task with available resources" Crash Error in Office 2007

Strangely, the last couple days I've started to get crashes of Excel and Word 2007, usually related to either when it tries to save AutoRecover info or opening another workbook. I've got 2 Gigs of ram, plenty of HD space, and the workbooks themselves are small (less than 500K). I rarely have more than 2 open. As Word is throwing the same issues I'm guessing it's something shared by these two Office applications.

I'm using Windows 7 Home, and the only application I've installed recently is Turbotax 2009. Office Diagnostics didn't pick up anything, and I did a Repair of the installation but the problem persists. My paging file was system managed originally, and in hopes of solving the problem I upped it to 3GB, which did not solve the problem. PerfMon shows 1GB or so free memory at all times anyways.

Word gives a slightly different error indicating a system resources error. I will update the thread when I can get a screen shot of it.

    Any ideas?

Ah, it looks like on 1/13 I downloaded and installed Office 2007 SP2, along with a bunch of security updates. This corresponds exactly to when the issues began. I'll re-install from the blank disk to revert to SP1, and post what happens.
