    Alternative to SUMIF

    Hi Everyone,

I'm using sumif to get the total number of OT minutes/hours rendered by an employee. In a company with 1K employees, doing so proves to be tedious as I need to rename the criteria for each formula.

Is there an easier way to do this? See attachment for more details. I'm using Excel 2003.

    Appreciate any assistance.

    Thanks in advance!

    Regards,
    Maiyk

    Re: Alternative to SUMIF

Just reference the cell adjacent containing the name to sum for:

E.g. =SUMIF($B$37:$B$57,B6,$D$37:$D$57) and copy that formula down...
Where there is a will there are many ways.
