Sum of count filed in Pivot Table

I am fairly new to pivot tables and I have a spreadsheet where the user will enter an X in the data entery spreadsheet. The pivot table counts the total X and I am having trouble summing these counts to a total on the row. The calculated fields of Sum of Total Submitted should be something like (sumD5:N5) and Total Action Taken (sum E5:N5).

I have tried changing the value field settings and tried several different options for the formula.

Can anyone help me understand what I am missing?

Maybe you can add 2 columns to the main data to do those calculations on a per row basis.. then summarize into the pivot table and then have a formula in pivot table only for the division...
