Copy n Paste formulae with dual screens

    Hi,

I have a wee problem - got a spreadsheet with formulaes in it - I am using a desktop setup with 2 screens, spreadsheet1 on left, spreadsheet 2 on the right, On left I have formulae in a report that I want to use to compile another report so I try to copy n paste the formulae
when I copy n paste - I dont get the formula copied - there is no paste special option to copy formulae ... Office 2007 sp2. On the right screen it show's me that I am trying to paste an object under the paste special option.

Any reason, or cure .... thanks in advance.

    peter.

    Hi,

you probably have two independent instances of Excel open in order to tile the two worksheets on the two monitors. Unfortunately, this reduces the communication between the files.

You need to open both workbooks in the same instance of Excel. Then maximise Excel across both screens and tile the file windows so you see both workbooks. You can then copy and paste with all Paste Special options available.

Hi, thats it exaclty. I thought I 'd be able to perform the copy n paste across 2 instances of excell, rather than within 1 with 2 sheets open.

    Thanks for - SORTED. Now.
