How to automatically open excel in a new window?

    Hi,

I was just wondering how to make office 2007/windows 7 automatically open excel in a new window..... i followed some instructions found in google to make the below changes on excel and the registry:

Execl - options - Advanced - then checked the 'Ignore other apps that use dynamic data exchnage (DDE)'

    Registry - HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > Excel.sheet.8 > shell > open
    re-named ddeexec to ddeexec_1
and on command 'default' and 'command' changed the /e to "%1"

This works fine for .xls sheets but when i try to open .csv or .xlsx i get the error "There was a problem sending the command to the program"

Do you know a way of doing this?
