Post convert all my data to new format with Macros!!!

Currently, I have about 200 work instructions each on varying from 2-30 pages which were created in excel throughout the years. Work instructions are documents explaining how to perform specific task, in my case, in a manufacturing environment.

The problem I have is each one of these documents are in a template which was created in excel and I need to convert them to the new template in excel. I have been copying and pasting page by page of pictures, document information, and instruction. Very time consuming process.

Fortunately, the new and old formats are very similar; the new one has a couple added and rearranged cells for document control.

After researching and talking with peers, they have mentioned that I should create a macros to pull the pictures and words from the old format and dump them into the new format.

I am experienced with excel but very little to no experience with macros and visual basic.
Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    1) I would suggest editing your 1st post and attach an example of an old format work instruction, and an example of what this file would look like after changing to the new format. Also, provide layout variation details: for example, will the layout of the old & new format files ALWAYS match the examples provided. If not, what are the possible range of variations. With this information, someone might be able to suggest some code for this.
    2) I would also send a Private Message to one of the Forum Moderators that is currently on-line (http://www.excelforum.com/showgroups.php) and request to MOVE your post to the Excel Programming group. VB questions are best posted there.
    ... Regards, sauerj
