Excel 2007 : problem with =english function

    problem with =english function

    i have this function inserted into a workbook to convert dollar amounts to words, however when i send the workbook the recipient's workbook will not work, returns =name! after the currency value is the reference cell is changed. any idea what could cause this?

    probably an add in you have it they dont or havent enabled it what is the function you are using?
    your profile shows xl2003 have you changed to 2007? it could be you aren't saving as xlsm and there is a udf in your workbook

    recipient just had to enable macro and then it worked, thanks for the info
