I couldn't find this question anywhere on the forum, I apologize if I've overlooked it somewhere. I am not sure if one solution will work for me or or not, but here's what I'm trying to do. I want get historical stock.etf/mutual fund adjusted close prices downloaded into a spreadsheet. (I think I have attached the format I'll ultimately use).
Is there a way to get the data for several stocks to download into one sheet with the dates going down the rows and the stocks across the top in the columns? If I have to use a 2-step process with the data coming into one sheet and then using sell references of vlookup in another sheet to get the format I want, fine.
Also, is there a way to set this up so that I can get the data for each day to download automatically - or at the click of a couple keys - where the newest date(s) are added to the next rows and the adjusted close prices are added in their appropriate cells?
Will a web query work? Do I need a macro? Something else?
Thanks!!
