data validation without repeated data

hello
i have a list in colon A that contains similar data:

car
home
school
car
car

what formulas i must put in validation field just to remove the duplicated data.
not that i cant remove the duplicated data from that colon(it must remain)

If you want this to be automated (ie advanced filter not viable) then the simplest solution is always to use helpers...

Using your sample file:

The formulae provided were based on UAE Regional Settings given your locale (Dubai)
If you're not using the UAE Region as locale then it's quite probable that they will fail (ie if you're using UK, US etc...)

Attached is the file, when opened XL will "translate" all functions as appropriate.

Going forward please do not quote prior posts in their entirety - this is just clutter

also FWIW it's very hard to interpret that last file - when you recreate the question in a new thread I would suggest you also outline desired results based on a given selection.
