How to match dates on two worksheets to return value in populated cell

    Hi,

There are two worksheets and I need to search a range of dates on one sheet and return the value to the other if a cell in one is populated. Please see the example workbook attached. I attempted to use the IF statement and INDEX and MATCH, but cannot seem to get them to work together.

    Try:

    =INDEX('Budget Daily'!$G$4:$HI$87,MATCH($C$3,'Budget Daily'!$B$4:$B$87,0),MATCH(Timesheet!$A8,'Budget Daily'!$G$4:$HI$4,0))

    copied down.

That answer was very fast and nearly exactly what I needed. To finish this, how would I move the value over to the 'extra/vaction' column in the timesheet if a cell was populated on a saturday or sunday?

    Sorry.. was out on lunch...

Anyways, if all you will enter is 1's and 0's then perhaps we can change formulas to:

1's and 0's might work, but several other things will need to change if they are used. Is it possible to not display '0' and simply leave the cell blank if not populated?
