I would like to make a graph that will show the number of items that have dates within a 7 day period. I have 900 incidents in excel, 1 incident per row, but multiple from some days and none from others. I want to have a graph show how many incidents i have during 6 months but by 1 week intervals. how do i go about doing that.
If you use a Pivot Chart you can set your Date Field as say Row Label field and subsequently apply a Group by on Day basis - specifying an Interval of 7 days
(you can also specify a start date to ensure the intervals commence on appropriate weekday)
