Pivot: change from internal to external data source..

    Dear all,

Could someone help me with this..:

If you have created a pivot table with data source within the same file, how can I change the data source to an external [/U]data source??

I can only change the range or table of the current setting, but I cannot change to external data source (cannot select option "use an external data source"). I know that this was possible with Excel 2003...

    Please advice..

    Many thanks in advance.

    Bas

Bas, if you use the old Pivot Table Wizard icon I think you can "step back" to Step 1 and modify (?)

The old Wizard icon is not displayed by default - you need to add it to your Quick Access Toolbar.
