    Copy data based on dates?

I have to create an excel spreadsheet for work and I am a little lost on how to do it. Here is what my boss wants:

    Workbook 1
    - A different tab on the bottom for every week ranging from wednesday-thursday. (so lets say the week of Feb 24th)
    - Each tab would a column for the date, the employee name, and the different Carrier information
    - each row would contain the date something was sold, and then the amount the sale was.

    example:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
This is the workbook she has now. what she wants is another workbook where we can input all the data for each employee and then have it automatically copy over to WorkBook 1:

    WorkBook 2

This workbook would contain a seperate tab for each employee. In my tab for example, for every sale she would input the date, and the amount of the sale for each carrier (UHC, AETNA, etc)

    Example:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
The idea is that she wants to track each person individually on this workbook, and then have all the information for each person transferred over to the other workbook.

The problem I am trying to figure out is how to have it only copy information within certain dates (eg, the 24th-2nd) over to workbook 1. How could it know that after the 2nd of March it has to copy information over to the March3rd Tab?

If there isn't an automatic way of doing this, is there a simple and easy manual way besides typing out all the information twice?

Any kind of well would be extremely appreciated, thank you

It's quite hard to consolidate multiple data sources in Excel, I did an example recently which made my eyes water. The easier way is to hav one big table onto which everybody's information is entered for all time, then use filtering and summarising tools, such as pivot tables to show subsets of that information.

If you could upload an example with several names (change them to protect privacy!) over several weeks, I can show you how to create two pivot tables to summarise that data very easily.

If you could I would really appreciate it. I don't quite understand what you mean (I am not terribly proficient in excel) but having a chance to look at your example would be really helpfull
