    Service Level Agreements

Hello. Was up til 3am this morning working on a spreadsheet - getting it done the hard way. There has to be a better way to do this but none of my internet searching came up with the solution. Issue:
Working on Service Desk Service Level Agreements for 3 scenarios: Low, Medium and High priorities.
    From the Assigned Date-
-Low should be completed by end of next business day
-Medium should be completed within 8 business hours
-High should be completed within 4 business hours

    Business hours are 8am - 5pm Mon-Friday

So, if the ticket has an assigned date after 5pm, the Required Resolution Date would be the next business day with time of 12:00pm for High and 4:00pm for Medium
If the ticket has an assigned date/time of 1/3/10 4:00pm, the Req Res Date would be the next business day such as 1/4/10 3:00pm.
For all Low tickets, the Req Res Date/Time should be the next business day with a time of 11:59:59pm

I managed to get the correct results with many many forumlas but I know there must be a better way.

    Thank you in advance.

Re: Need help in setting SLA bench mark

Very helpful!!! I have a question regarding the items with:
    - start times before the Start of the day -the SLA required end time should not begin until 8:00am
    For example:
1/19/2010 6:48am returns 1/19/2010 10:48am but should be 1/19/2010 12:00pm since the start of our day is 8:00am. It gives the analyst the full 4 hours to work on the ticket.

-Likewise with the tickets created after hours on a particular day should not have the SLA required time begin until 8:00am the next day
-And, tickets with SLA of next business day should show the max time: next day 5:00pm [is that possible?]

I have included your spreadsheet with my changes.

    Thank you!

    Re: Service Level Agreements

Just to clear up a few things

-- You should only be entering values in the yellow cells - the green cells should be formulae.

-- There is an error in the formula for Col D - all down to a missing $ (!) ... the formula for D2 should read:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
-- You have moved the holidays range to another sheet which is fine but you need to modify the named range accordingly - presently _Holidays refers to Sheet1 rather than to the new range on Sheet2.

With the above corrections you should find that if you enter:

    1/19/2010 06:48 into A6 - D6 will become 1/19/2010 08:00 and E6 in turn 1/19/2010 12:00

On a final note - though I linked to the other thread for reference please ensure you post questions into your thread only - your prior post has been moved back to this thread.

I don't see much point in commenting on a thread which is 5 years old.
