Exclamation How to delete Add-In ribbons once add-in has been removed

    Hi All,

OK, this is just painful. I can't believe Microsoft don't have a solution for this???

I cannot delete the "menu commands" and "custom toolbars" ribbons under the Add-Ins tab in excel 2007 once I have removed the actual add-ins (excel options => add ins) themselves.

It seems the presence of an old add-in (within the menu command ribbon) may be conflicting with a current add-in I am using. The old add-in is the "stock quotes from msn money". I cannot execute the new add-in as a result!

The only useful information I have found is to delete the "Excel12.xlb" file (located in documents and settings/owner/application data/microsoft/excel). This actually worked when I did it on my computer at work, but REFUSES to do so on my home computer (running excel under parallels on an imac).

    Any suggestions??

    Thank you.

OK so I fixed it....by deleting that excel12.xlb file I mentioned previously. For some reason, I had to delete it several times.

Unfortunately though it didn't fix my compatibility isssues.
