Excel time zone by zip code sheet?

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone have or know where I can find a spreadsheet that lists all US zip codes by what time zone they are in? I need it for a VLookUp function. If anyone has anything close to this or can come up with a work around that would be great too. A beer or coffee will be purchased for you the next time you are in the Seattle area by way of compensation.

Hi Ryan, welcome to the forum.

There are a number of sites that offer zip code lists and data about each zip code - but there's usually a fee involved. There's also commercial software like MapPoint that has such information, and of course you could manually lookup each zip code (not fun).

Once in awhile I'll stumble across a list of zip codes, but who knows how recent they are. I've even found some on sites that deal with geography rather than mailing, although I can't recall where as it's been a few years..

Thanks for the reply Paul. I've found some of the pay services, but it's such a simple thing I'm loathe to pay for it. I think there is a native table in most SQL databases somewhere that has this information. If I can find it I'll post it as a spreadsheet on a file hosting site so the next time this comes up a solution will be close at hand. That said, the beer / coffee offer stands.

I found a couple older files (approx 2 years old) so I uploaded them to mediafire.com:

The first one is 3+ MB and lists every zip code and towns within each (80,000 records, zipcodes are duplicated for those that have more than 1 town), along with the time zone.

The second one is 1+ MB and only lists one zip code with the primary town and time zone.

Hi, can you re-post those files for the zip codes? They currently show private status and only the poster can download them. Those two files would be super helpful for me in my latest project.
