    Angry Comment box - red triangle

    I am working on a spreadsheet and many of the cells require comment boxes explaining the conditional formatting within. This means that half the cells on the sheet have a red triangle in the top right corner which is really distracting to the user.

    Does anybody know if I can get rid of the triangles but still get the comments when I hover over the cell?

    If possible I would be over the moon.

    Regards,

    You can't have retain the comment on hover without the indicator.

    You could instead use the Data Validation Input Message.

    you can hide it, sort of ,by covering it with a white triangle

    change this bit to
    .Fill.ForeColor.SchemeColor = 10
    to
    .Fill.ForeColor.SchemeColor = 9
