    lock Subtotals to prevent overwriting.

    Hello everybody,

I have a spreadsheet that has a number of rows that include running totals. The problem I have is I often have drag formulas down the full length of the columns. At the moment I have to then replace the fomulas in the subtotal rows which is a real pain all the time.

Is there a way of locking the rows so I don't end up overwriting them each time.

    Regards

    Gareth

sounds like you need to lock the cells containing the subtotal formulae, can you post a sample from your workbook showing the "before and after" as you now see it
