Updating old part numbers to new without effecting unchanges numbers

    Hi,

Our stock system relies on manually updating the prices using formulas in excel. A problem I'm experiencing is that our suppliers tweak existing part numbers and add new ones on the list without highlighting the changes they make.

I have attached the spreadsheet that I'm working on.

In the 'Exported Part Numbers" Tab I would like to show the most current part numbers (shown in Column A in "New Price List Part Numbers"). I want to be able to drag the formula down and it to update any superseded part numbers, however leave the numbers that haven't changed the same.

I hope I have explained my predicament sufficiently.

Many thanks for all your efforts

    Sam

    Hi,

Thanks...but im trying to execute the formula in the 'exported part number' tab. All it is doing is replicating what is being displayed on 'New Price list Part Numbers' tab (column A).

I need to some how keep the order of the part numbers on the 'exported part number' tab.

    Any more suggestions?

    Thanks

    Sam

well perhaps on the export sheet, say in column B
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Assuming that the part number will exist in the new part numbers, if it is not in the old part numbers.

    Regards
