    Counting based on multiple column values

    I have this data in excel:

    Now here's the request:
    I want to count how Y's are there for each Job for each State for each Area. Your ideas and help will be really appreciated.

    Have a look at Pivot Tables.

    You can hide subtotal/grandtotals/no counts, etc...
