I hardly have any experience with Excel but I need to do something that is probably quite simple but I don't know how to do it and I don't even know what it's called !
I have 2 tabs at the bottom of my worksheet - 2009 and 2010.
On each tab I have 1 column containing a list of client names and a column with the total sales for each client in that year
BUT there are more clients in 2010 than in 2009 so I can't just copy the sales column from one tab to other
I need to able to combine the two tabs so that there are three cols ( client name, sales 2009, sales 2010) and have the correct sales amount inserted into the right column for the right client
I could just copy and paste each cell for each client but there are between 5000 and 10000 clients so it would take forever !
what would be the best way of doing this (bearing in mind that I have very little experience of Excel) ??
