Question Inserting rows or columns formulas dont add up

I have a spread sheet with formulas totalling number across columns and also adding up columns. When I insert a new row the formulas dont update. I have tried tables and I have set the reference to extend formulas and functions. Sometimes the new insert is added at the bottom but not across. Am attaching a sample sheet. If I insert a row at 12 and key a number it calculates sometimes and not others. Help

When you insert a new row, you need to copy the formula or add a formula(Since these are specific to a row). Also the reason why it updates at the bottom is 'formula added here are specific to a column' so any data added to a particular column would be updated!!!

Thank you for your advice. I understand the formula at the bottom is specific to the column but then isnt the formula on the row specific to the row. It always has updated in past versions of Excel and its so important. Does it mean now that each time a company adds new customers to the sheet they have to do a fill down to make sure the formulas in a column have updated?

Yopu are missing the very useful Table feature of Excel 2007, Lists in 2003.

Select a cell within the data & in the Insert Tab of the Ribbon select table. Then add rows
    Hope that helps.

Hey Anicka I forgot, you could use Insert tab - Table too as suggested by royUK. It should solve your problem
