    Euro conversion graph

Hello from a newbie looking for some help.

I've been pulling my hair out for the last hour trying to get a graph which I thought would take 2 minutes.

I would like to plot Croatian Kuna against Euro.

I've used a simple formula, with a "rounded up" conversion of 14 Kuna = 1 Euro, and I now have two columns of numbers.

The Kuna column starts at 0 Kuna and stops at 600 Kuna in steps of 25 Kuna - so, 0, 25, 50, 75...

Next to this, the Euro column increases in steps according to the 14:1 conversion rate - so, 0, 3.50, 7.00, 10.50...

I would like display a graph that shows the Kuna values on the Y axis and the Euro values on the x axis with points (joined by a line or otherwise) on the graph.

Try as I might, I cannot get the exact Euro values on the x axis - just nominal values (e.g. 10, 20, 30...).

Having just said that, I did manage this but pressed something and the whole thing disappeared without me being able to get it back - so I know it's possible.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks!

    Re: Euro conversion graph

normal data layout, in columns, for a xy-scatter is Xvalues in first column Yvalues in second column.

If you can not change your data layout...
start by selecting the data and creating an xy-scatter chart.
then use the Source data dialog to alter the ranges used.

    Re: Euro conversion graph

    Thanks Andy.

I tried that and it worked.

Actually, I'd tried that before and it didn't work...must have been doing something wrong I guess.

Still doesn't explain why I was able to have the values there automatically before - I've no idea how I mnanaged to do that but at least now I've got the graph looking how I want it.

    Thanks again,
