    auto-generate a list

I would like to know if theres a way to get excel to auto-generate the list on the right side of this image

To create the list as you see it, I had to manually copy the row segments over there

What I would like to happen, is when I enter anything greater than zero in the "ORDER" column, for that corresponding row segment to be automatically added to a list somewhere

Im sure it requires an in-depth macro to do such a thing, but if there a tricky way to get excel to do this without programming, please let me know your ideas

    Thanks,
    Kenny

I know they are hard to find for new members, so here's a link to the Forum Rules for your convenience.

    Re: auto-generate a list

I've hidden some "Key" columns next to each set of data, columns H, P and X. They are creating a unique sequential number that is being used to match the number appearing in column AA. The rest is a series of INDEX/MATCH formulas. The CHOOSE() formula is selecting the correct column to pull data from, the INDEX/MATCH then pulls in the data.

It's all in realtime, so your table will grow and contract as you add quantities.

Heh, glad to help. See how much easier it is to help with a hands-on visual example?

If that takes care of your need, please click EDIT in your original post, click GO ADVANCED and set the PREFIX box to SOLVED.
