Remove ALL lines from Pivot Tables

I have a boss who hates lines & borders. In Excel 2007, how do I COMPLETELY remove all borders in a pivot table. I can do a Format Cells and remove them, but as soon as I begin to expand and collapse different parts of the pivot table, the lines come back again!

    Please help. Thanks.

Select the Chart, and make sure you're on the "Layout" tab, then go to "Gridlines" and switch "Primary Horizontal and Vertical" Gridlines to NONE.

    Hope this helps

Re: Remove ALL lines from Pivot Tables

Didn't see any "Layout" tab anywhere on the Ribbon (this is Excel 2007). Nothing about "gridlines" either.

Only thing I could do was create a custom "Quick Style" and remove all of the borders. This will now let me remove all lines from any of the pivot tables in this workbook. Unfortunately, the custom quick style does NOT get saved to the gallery for use with other workbooks as the Excel help system says it does. I have to re-create this custom quick style for each new workbook I use.

Oh well, maybe this bug will be fixed in 2010.

Can you send me your file. I'm also using excel 2007, so if you DOUBLE CLICK ON YOUR CHART, you will see in the ribbon a the "Layout" tab, and from there follow the instructions I mentioned in my previous post.

Let me know if that works
