    Speed calculations

    Hi all! I struggle with calculation and formating. Example:
    A1 - product, B1 - number of slices per batch, and in C1 I want to calculate slices per minute.
    Target has been set at 50 slices per minute. So, if:
    A1="x product", B1=420 so C1 should be =B1/50?
    Thanks!

    No, you need to know how many minutes the batch took to run. Then you'd divide B1 by that time to get slices per minute (which you would then compare against the standard of 50/minute).

    Re: Speed calculations

    Batch then takes 8.4 mins to run. But when I format this to hh:mm, it gives me 9 and a half hours. All calculations are based on slices per batch, not minutes per batch. As more slices in a batch, as longer run is. So what format do I use to get those 8.4 minutes in time format?

    Re: Speed calculations

    Ah, time formats use 1 = 1 day. So to convert 8.4 minutes to that format, you have to divide by the number of minutes in a day. So 8.4/(24*60) or 8.4/24/60 Then use hh:mm:ss format and it will show as 0:08:24. However, you then have to multiply that by 24*60 to get back to minutes for doing the calc. So if C1 = 8.4/24/60 = 0:08:24, then in D1 you would put = B1/(C1*24*60).

    Or just simply let C1 be minutes... and in 8.4 minutes or 60 minutes or 120 minutes. Then you just divide B1 by C1.
