Excel 2007 : Top 10 Column Values

Hi,

I have a column of file names (2000 rows). Is there a way I can have the top 10 file names displayed on another area of the sheet and how many times they appear in the column?

Yes, is it possible to do a pivot on 1 column?

Yes, it is.

Just drag the same "header" to the row data and then to the row data area.

Then after the table is displayed, right click the row area (names) and select Advanced...

Then turn on the Top 10 Autoshow. You can also select sort order if desired.
