Excel 2007 : date format problem-The pc is set up correctly

Hi,

We are just starting to roll out Windows 7 and Excel 2007 throughout the company and on the whole it is going quite well.

We have come across one problem though which I don't know if you can help with:

One of the things we do is export data from a third party application into Excel, this has worked perfectly before with other versions of Windows and Office but with 2007 the data is exported okay but the date format is wrong it is displayed as mm/dd/yy rather than dd/mm/yy.

The pc is set up correctly as far as we can tell but it still happens, the interesting thing is if we click on one of the date cells the correct date format is displayed in the editing area, see attached image.

Can anyone help?
