    Customized Pivot Chart

    Hi,

I have the following tables in my workbook.

    a) The first table is a data entry table for each month to key in the expenses. Example is for the month of June.

    b) Below the data entry table is another table that automatically sorts the expenses from highest to lowest. Example is for the month of June.

    c) The third table is located after the month of December starting at cell BK2. This is a cumulative table of expenses from January to December.

From this table I want to create a Pivot Chart that shows the expenses for any given month in a year from highest to lowest expenses.

An example of the desired chart in appended in the tab "Desired Pivot Chart". Appreciate assistance if this is possible via a Pivot Chart.

    Thanks.

    Re: Customized Pivot Chart

Your data is not structured correctly in order to produce a pivot table.

Instead you can use INDEX and MATCH formula to create a set of data for a given month.

    Re: Customized Pivot Chart

    Hi Andy,

Is there a way to get the chart to produce the expenses for any given month from highest to lowest ? Each month might have a different set of expenses which are higher and lower. Would there be a way to use your existing solution but the charts are produced by highest to lowest expenses for any chosen or selected month ?

    Appreciate your time and patience.

Yes, just use more formula to generate a ranked set of charting data.
